Traveling has always been something I've enjoyed. Seeing new places, experiencing new cultures, smelling new foods, hearing new languages. It stirs an excitement I can't quite put into words. Still, here I am sitting in the Toronto airport after boarding Air Canada at 11:15 this morning, waiting for my final flight. Living in Southwest Florida, I've gotten used to hearing directions in English and Spanish. Today was the first time I'd experienced it in French. It took me back to high school, listening to my teachers ramble off and hoping I'd one day sound like I knew what I was doing. Then, on to college, singing in French was one of my favorite things. If I could program a French art song, I did. As Fauré drifted through my head, I settled into my flight and set off on this amazing journey. I'm so excited to see what's to come in the next 10 days. I'm looking forward to learning from experts around the world, seeing a new perspective in care, and grow as a Speech-Language Pathologist. I'm so thankful for Dr. Green and Dr. Boamah for taking me on this once in a lifetime adventure!
