We spent the day traveling and exploring the beautiful city of Paris! We started bright and early this morning by catching a train from Gent to Brussels. After arriving to Brussels-South Railway Station we waited for our next train to take us to Paris. During this time we grabbed some coffee and pastries, and talked with one another about our excitement for a new country/city along with reflecting on our time spent in Gent. After that it was time for us to catch our train. The train ride was about an hour and half long where some of us slept, did some work on our computers, read, or for me listened to music while reflecting on my time in Gent while admiring the world passing by. We arrived to Gare Du Nord around noon! From there we took a taxi to our hotel.

Once we got to the hotel, Dr. Green, got us checked into our rooms. We spent some time downstairs in the lobby while we waited for our rooms to be ready and discussed our

plans for the next couple of days. We have a jam packed schedule full of new experiences! We also spent some time talking about the differences we have seen so far between Gent and Paris. Some of those differences include how busy it is, it's a lot bigger than Gent, and we noticed there are a lot more American fast food restaurant options here. Our rooms were finally ready so we took some time to unpack and unwind for a minute before heading to grab some food. We ended up eating at this restaurant called Sister Brother and for me personally it was some of the best food I have ate since being on this trip. I got an iced vanilla latte along with their meal called the "Hangover Bun". It was a sandwich with guacamole, chicken, bacon, cheese, hash-brown, a fried egg, and some barbecue sauce. It was a lot of flavors that all went very well together. After eating a few of us went back to the hotel while some of us walked the streets of our neighborhood. We stopped in a few shops to look around, and ended up at the grocery store before heading back. We ended the night by journaling in the lobby. Today has been a very good day getting used to a new area while staying eager about what is to come! I can't wait for you all to see the adventures we go on these next couple of days. I hope you all have enjoyed the blog thus far!
